Covid-19 Pandemic
To help support you during this difficult time we are doing everything we can answer all your questions, reduce any stress related to your holiday & provide flexible terms and conditions so we can still provide you with that holiday of a lifetime. Please note that the below cancellation policies apply to valid Covid-19 related reasons, all other cancellations are subject to our usual Terms and Conditions can be found here
If you develop symptoms of COVID 19 whilst in Morzine and decide to self-isolate, Bike Morzine does not accept liability or responsibility to provide you with accommodation beyond your contracted holiday dates. If you are self isolating and want to extend your stay, you will be charged at the normal rate.

For All properties with the exception of Aiglon Morzine, Hideout Hostel, Hotel du Lac, Hotel Dents Blanche (who's individual policies are listed below), as well as our normal terms and conditions, the following Corona Virus policy is in place for Summer 2022 bookings:
Provided that Bike Morzine is “open for business”, then Bike Morzine does not accept any liability or responsibility and WILL NOT issue refunds, credit vouchers, or pay any other compensation in the event that you:
- Cancel your holiday or decide not to travel because of Covid 19. This includes, but is not limited to you being unable to travel because of restrictions imposed on you by your government/health authorities/ French government or travel provider due to COVID 19 or disinclination to travel.
- Showing symptoms and self-isolating before travelling due to COVID 19.
It is required that you have adequate Covid-19 insurance to cover your trip to Morzine. Please see here for Yellow Jersey Travel Insurance.
Due to COVID 19, if Bike Morzine is unable to perform its contractual obligations, because of business closure, resort closure or restrictions imposed by French authorities as a result of COVID 19, then a CREDIT VOUCHER to the value of 70% of your holiday will be issued. This voucher is valid for 12 months from the arrival date of your cancelled holiday. No other compensation or refund will be paid.

AIGLON MORZINE
5.6. COVID 19 SPECIFIC CANCELLATION POLICY shall apply to all Bookings for arrival between 1st December 2020 and 30th September 2021.
5.6.1. For cancellations requested after You have paid Your deposit but before You have paid the balance:
5.6.1.2. If Travel Restrictions are in place which would affect Your travel to Us, Company shall issue a credit note to the full value of the deposit valid for 24 months, or a refund of the deposit, minus a 15% administration charge.
5.6.1.3. If no Travel Restrictions are in place but You decide not to travel, this will be treated as a cancellation and You will not receive a refund or credit note.
5.6.2. For cancellations requested after You have paid Your balance:
5.6.2.1. If Travel Restrictions are in place which would affect Your travel to Us, Company shall issue a credit note to the full value of the booking valid for 24 months, or a full refund, minus a 15% administration charge.
5.6.2.2. If no Travel Restrictions are in place but You decide not to travel, this will be treated as a cancellation and You will not receive a refund or credit note.
5.6.3. If at any time prior to Your stay with Us, We are forced to close due to local or French Covid-19 lockdown measures and will not be able to fulfil Your booking, We will issue You with choice of 100% refund or a 100% credit note valid for 24 months.
5.6.4. During Your stay with Us:
5.6.4.1. If Travel Restrictions are put in place forcing You to leave before the end of Your stay, Company will not issue any refund or credit in full or in part for any unused proportion of Your stay.
5.6.4.2. If We are forced to close due to local or French Covid-19 lockdown measures, Company will issue a refund or credit for the unused portion of Your stay. This shall apply to the accommodation costs only.
5.6.5. If at any time You show signs of, are quarantined for, or test positive for Covid-19, and We are open for business as usual, and there are no Travel Restrictions in force that would otherwise affect Your booking, this will be treated as a cancellation and You will not receive a refund or credit note. Clause 5.7.1.1 and 5.7.1.2 shall apply. You will need to claim on Your travel insurance. We will provide any reasonable documentation to support Your claim.
5.6.6. If at any time there are no Travel Restrictions in place but You have concerns about future government restrictions being applied, or a disinclination to travel because of Covid-19, this will be treated as a cancellation and You will not receive a refund or credit note. Clause 5.7.1.1 and 5.7.1.2 shall apply. You will need to claim on Your travel insurance. We will provide any reasonable documentation to support Your claim.
5.6.7. Travel Restrictions are defined as one or more of the following effective at the time of Your travel to us:
5.6.7.1. French or Swiss borders (if You have flights booked to Geneva) are closed;
5.6.7.2. Your departure country’s borders are closed;
5.6.7.3. Your departure country’s foreign office advises against all non-essential travel to France or Switzerland (if travelling through Geneva);
5.6.7.4. Travel in France is restricted;
5.6.7.5. Your departure country, French or Swiss (if travelling through Geneva) Governments impose mandatory quarantine conditions which deter You from travelling.
5.6.8. In all cases of cancellations due to Travel Restrictions, We will need to see proof of Your travel booking.
5.7. GENERAL CANCELLATION POLICY OUTSIDE OF COVID 19 shall apply to all other bookings made for arrival outside of 1st December 2020 and 30th September 2021.
5.7.1. YOUR DEPOSIT WILL BE RETAINED for administration costs and cancellation charges will be levied as follows:
5.7.1.1. 4 – 8 WEEKS BEFORE COMMENCEMENT OF HOLIDAY: 50% OF TOTAL HOLIDAY COST;
5.7.1.2. LESS THAN 4 WEEKS BEFORE COMMENCEMENT OF HOLIDAY: 100% OF TOTAL HOLIDAY COST
These restrictions must apply 2 weeks or less prior to your holiday starting date, in order to qualify.
For all other bookings after September 31st 2021 our normal Terms & Conditions apply. It is mandatory to have adequate insurance to covering you against Covid-19 related cancelations.
HIDEOUT HOSTEL / Hotel du Lac / Hotel Dents Blanche
Hideout Hostel offers 2 booking rates with varying flexibility. We highly recommend the Flexible rate which comes as standard.
FLEXIBLE RATE (recommended) - The Flexi rate offers the guest the right to cancel or change their holiday for any reason completely free up until 2 weeks before your holiday. If you have to make changes within 2 weeks of your arrival date then a 5% admin fee will be charged.
- If guests wish to cancel they will receive a full refund of all monies paid. If you have to cancel within 2 weeks of your arrival date then a 5% admin fee will be charged.
ECONOMY RATE (-20% Flexible rate)
Normal Terms & Conditions apply, unless your holiday is cancelled for any of the reasons stated below.
- Hideout Hostel has been forced to close due to the laws and regulations of the French Government, as well as any other local or public authority
- France goes into a national lockdown
- These restrictions must still apply 2 weeks prior to your holiday starting date, in order to qualify for free cancellations. Any other cancellations will be subject to our usual t&c's.
If the above events happen then your balance payment will be fully refunded and your deposit payment automatically converted to a voucher for a future holiday at Hideout Hostel. This voucher is valid for 18 months after the arrival date of your existing booking. No other restrictions (including but not limited to home country travel bans, mandatory quarantines etc. ) count as a valid reason to cancel your holiday, therefore normal cancellation terms & conditions apply.
BIKE HIRE, GUIDING AIRPORT TRANSFERS & LIFT PASSES
Valid for all Summer 2022 bookings
If the client cancels 6 weeks or more prior to their arrival date and due to valid reasons related to the COVID-19 pandemic, then you will receive a full credit voucher of monies paid minus a 15% administration. charge.
Cancellations made within 6 weeks of your arrival date will receive a 50% credit voucher.
Valid Reasons included; Border closures between France & your home countryTravel Restrictions /Bans between your home country & France. If Morzine has been forced to close by the French/Local Authorities
For Covid cancellations closer than 2 weeks to your holiday or non-valid covid cancellations our normal Terms & Conditions apply. Cancellations will receive a 85% refund of their total balance. Forfeiting 15% deposit for administration & cancellation fees.
