Morzine In Winter
The Beating Heart Of The Portes du Soleil
As well as being home to one of the largest ski areas in Europe, there's more to Morzine than just the skiing! This lovely little alpine town is lively and vibrant with a plethora of bars, restaurants and shops. Morzine is different from most alpine resort towns as it has a large year round community of mountain lovers and its not just the peak winter season where there is life in the town.
Morzine has everything you'll need during your stay, from groceries, to gifts, fancy restaurants to fast food joints, childcare to nightclubs. There are two well stocked supermarkets in the town centre making self catered holidays in Morzine a breeze. There is also multiple pharmacies and a medical centre should you require any medical assistance whilst in Morzine. Almost every street in the town centre has at least one ski shop so keeping your gear running sweet and your threads looking fly should never be a problem.
Treat yourself whilst on holiday and sample Morzine's amazing range of restaurants, from the mountains of cheese in traditional French dining to Japanese noodle bars and everything in between, you'll be spoilt for choice in Morzine. Bars are also plentiful in Morzine and there are some wonderful places to enjoy an après beer or a few late night beverages whilst sharing stories from the slopes with your friends and family.
Getting Around The Town Is Easy
The ski area is absolutely huge and there are multiple points from Morzine to access it. Being a large Alpine town which is spread along the valley floor, not all locations are ski in/ski out. Luckily the ski bus service in Morzine is excellent meaning no matter where you are staying in the town, you can get quick, easy and free access to the lifts. Fortunately all of our winter accommodation options are incredibly central and those which you can't walk to a lift from have ski bus stops close by.
